Karimpur New Bus stand

The appearance of Karimpur Bazar premises suddenly changed.  In fact, since independence, there has been no permanent bus stand at Karimpur.  On the state road, everything, the bus, the auto, and the tote stood.  That way the passengers would be picked up and dropped.  People were constantly being harassed every day in the traffic congestion area.  Considering such problems, the Transport Department allocated 1 crore and 76 lacks in the controlled market premises of the former Karimpur MLA Mahua Maitra.  On October 7, Shubendu Adhikari, the Transport Minister, inaugurated the bus stand at a cost.  He allocated 1 crore to beautify the new bus stand.  From this December, the Kolkata non-stop AC Volvo bus will be launched from Karimpur from this bus stand.

Anupam Chakraborty, BDO of Karimpur-1, said, "We thought that after the minister's ceremony, the bus owners, transport department, market business associations, police and other officials of the administration would arrange for people to travel from the Karimpur bus stand safely.  There was a need for some discussion on this to bring together the views of all parties.  However, with the start of the bus movement from the new bus stand on Wednesday, the Karimpur Bazar Square has been completely free of traffic.  People can now travel much safer.

”Administration sources said that on Tuesday, Anish Dasgupta, the sub-divisional ruler of Tehatat, Karimpur-1 village panchayat, BDO of Karimpur 1, district transport office officer, police and bus owners and members of the Bazar businessmen were meeting. There it is decided that the passenger bus must go to the new bus stand.  By the side of the paved road in the market square, passengers can not be taken down or taken down.  Even auto or any kind of four-wheeler can not be parked on an old bus stand for passenger transport.  Everyone has to pick up or drop off passengers from the new bus stand.  Bus services started from Karimpur bus stand on Wednesday after all sides agreed to provide such services to the common people.

Santa Swarnakar, a transport worker, said, “About 5 buses from Government-Private are operating from Karimpur. Since there are railways elsewhere in the district, the bus is the only trust for the people of Karimpur, so we started picking up or removing passengers from the new bus stand, considering the convenience of the common people. I saw the market square. If such a situation can be maintained at all times, then the common people will be able to move safely.
